I'm still working through the shock of this amazing achievement and it's all thanks to the support of you awesome backers for helping me make this game happen. Over the weekend at Gencon, High Plains Samurai: Legends actually won Gold for Best Free Game at the ENnie Awards!

To be completely honest, I was hoping for Silver as the best possible option because the competition in this category was tight so imagine my surprise when it took the top spot against a Savage Worlds game and a D&D/sci-fi hybrid. Huge thanks to Eloy Lasanta for taking the stage for me and making sure I actually wrote a speech even when I thought there wasn't a point. With the Backerkit nearing completion for everyone to submit their shipping details and payments (plus pre-order for new fans of HPS to jump on board), we're in an amazing place leading up to the big release of the core rulebook in only a couple of months.
Once again, thank you for your support to make this happen.

HPS Legends has been nominated by the ENnies as one of the past year's Best Free Games, along with some notable nominees like Saga of the Goblin Hoard and Forthright.
Thanks to all of HPS' backers for their support getting our first book off the ground and into market. While I won't be able to attend should there be an envelope with our name on it, this is very exciting news.
Now just wait until they get a load of the core book next year. ;)
